2024-25 City League - Skill Development (PK-2)

Our skill development program is for children in Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd Grade. It begins in early January and ends in mid to late March.

This program focuses on developing basic skills using a variety of fun games and drills. Basic concepts of game play are introduced. All sessions are held in Rice Lake.

There are two divisions

D Bracket is for children in 2nd grade. This division begins to introduce 5-on-5 concepts in a controlled, instructional setting.
E Bracket is for children in PK through 1st grade. This division focuses primarily on basic basketball skills but builds up to some 3-on-3 or 4-on-4 game play.

2024-25 City League - Competitive (Grade 3-8)

Our competitive program is for boys in grades 3 through 8. Players are separated into divisions by age and placed onto teams to compete in a full season of timed, officiated games, concluding with a championship tournament. All games for city league are played in Rice Lake. No out of town travel is required.

Divisions in this program are:

A Bracket - for players in grades 7 and 8
B Bracket - for players in grades 5 and 6
C Bracket - for players in grades 3 and 4

NOTE: Players wishing to participate on a travelers team MUST also register for and participate on a league team.

A Bracket (Grades 7-8)

2024-25 Travelers Program (Grade 5-8)

Our travelers program is for players in grades 5 through 8 that attend Rice Lake schools. Traveling teams practice 1-2 times per week and participate in weekend tournaments against teams from other communities.

Teams in this program compete in the Great Northwest Basketball League.

7th and 8th grade teams will compete in a minimum of 5 tournaments with the potential to participate in post season state tournaments (if invited)
5th and 6th grade teams will compete in a minimum of 3 tournaments with the potential to participate in post season state tournaments (if invited)

NOTE: Players wishing to participate on a travelers team MUST also register for and participate on a league team.
